Port of Garston shutters benefit from lighter foam injected lath

Leading trade supplier of industrial doors and shutters, Alliance Door Engineering have recently expanded their range of insulated roller shutters with the introduction of an alternative, lighter lath. After listening to customer feedback, they’ve added the option of a 95mm foam injected, steel skin lath to complement their traditional, standard 100mm foam injected double skin lath. When using the lighter lath, a lower torqued drive system and smaller diameter barrel is possible for some applications, providing a more cost efficient, insulated solution.

The lath was utilised on shutters recently installed at Port of Garston, Liverpool. Powered by GfA 1400Nm Safedrive operators, with the installation being undertaken by a North West based Alliance’ customer. Bespoke 170mm wind guides were fabricated in-house for maximum wind resistance.
