Whilst many manufacturers have engineered their products to comply with European safety legislation, there are still some rogue traders out there. Standards to look for include full compliance with the European Safety Standard BS EN 13241 meaning the doors have been developed with a number of valuable safety features. Security Security has been and will remain a key area of consideration when purchasing a garage door. By its very nature, a garage door helps to provide a barrier between the garage and the outside world. Garages are still recognised as a key entry point for burglars and intruders and in some cases are considered an easy target where the garage door is poorly designed.
