Over 2.5 million miles and counting! Gliderol driver John Pattle has estimated that he has clocked up over 2.5 million miles in his career and counting. In all John, who is originally from Manchester, has actually served over 27 years with Gliderol. John’s career path was not one of going straight into the industry. John started work in a local garage close to home before making the decision to move to Sunderland and start work in the pub trade for Vaux Brewery.

By 1990 John had found his way to Gliderol as a driver, a role he has made a career from ever since. He is a familiar face to all Gliderol customers. John has delivered doors to every part of the UK and Ireland for Gliderol and enjoys meeting new and old faces every week. John has been married to Vivienne for 30 years and together they enjoy walking and spend many weekends on trails laid out by the National Trust.
